Seniors 60 years of age and older—we’re here and ready to serve you! Our comprehensive senior centers and nutrition sites are located across the city and are open Monday through Friday throughout the year. Whether you are interested in joining us for our midday meal, some fun exercise, a computer class, or even meeting a friend or two, we welcome you!

Frank Bergon Senior Center maintains a free lending library of donated paperback books. Featuring everything from mystery to old western, we’ve got your reading needs covered. A comfortable space is also provided if you would like to read on site. Paperback donations are always welcomed.
50+ adults will enjoy movies ranging from classics to recent releases. Viewers are advised to consider film ratings.

Senior Commodities
Commodities provides supplemental food to seniors 60+ the 1st Friday of each month at all senior centers. For more information, please contact the Madera Food Bank at 1 (559) 674-1482.
Brown Bag Program
The Brown Bag Program provides supplemental food bags to seniors ages 55 & older, 3rd Wednesday of each month at all senior centers. Participants donate $24.00 per year. For more information, please contact the Madera Food Bank at 1 (559) 674-1482.
Get fit! Be active! If these are your goals, we have a healthy assortment of offerings to help you achieve them. The City of Madera Parks and Community Services Department offers innovative fitness, health, and wellness programs designed to encourage people to get fit and stay healthy. Achieve your health and fitness goals through exercise, educational and recreational classes and workshops, health screenings, and wellness activities. Drop-in classes are available for FREE. Registration is not required. All classes have a maximum class size and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Senior Nutrition Program
The senior nutrition program offers adults 60 years and older a nutritionally balanced lunch for a suggested price of $2.50/meal. For a non-senior wanting a meal, the price is $6.00 per meal. Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 11:30 am at our senior centers, and a reservation is required one day in advance before 11:00 am.
Senior Home Delivered Meals
If you are 60 years of age or older, and you are unable to leave your home to join us at one of our congregate meal sites, you may be eligible for home-delivered meals. For more information please contact Olga Saucedo-Garcia at 1 (559) 661-5426.
Dial-a-Ride tickets are available for seniors 60+ on Tuesdays at 9:00 am at the Frank A. Bergon Senior Center and Pan-American Community Center, there is a suggested donation per ticket book of $5.00. Limit of one (1) book of tickets (10 one way tickets) per person per week. Ticket book availability is first come, first serve, while supplies last.

Ballroom Dancing
Come experience Ballroom Dancing, featuring live bands that plays a variety of dancing music.

Technology Classes
Learn how to use a computer, tablet, cellphone, send e-mail, connect with social media, etc. Instructed guidance is offered for seniors at both Frank Bergon and Pan American Centers.

Community Day Trips Presented by the City of Madera Parks & Community Services
Enjoy a variety of day trips which could include San Francisco, Morro Bay, Yosemite, and more!
